Palladium Catalysts for Alpha-arylation
06 October 2009
Johnson Matthey has recently identified:
(DtBPF) PdCl2 Pd-118
(DtBPF) PdBr2 Pd-128
as exceptional candidates for alpha-arylation of
various ketones with a variety of aryl
chlorides and aryl bromides.
These catalysts:
-are commercially available from JM
-give excellent yield and selectivity
-are air stable
-perform with mild reaction conditions
-demonstrate minimal Pd leaching
